Dr. Terrlyn Curry Avery is the creator of pastology, a cutting edge field that focuses on the synergy between pastoring and psychology. She is a pastor, TEDx Speaker, author of the book Sacred Intelligence:  The Essence of Sacred, Selfish and Shared Relationships and host of Sacred Intelligence TV. Terrlyn is also an international retreat leader and facilitator of advanced therapy and workshops. She’s been featured on WURC-FM Rust College Public Radio, VoiceAmerica, the Peak Fearless Podcast and The Sparkle Hour. Her mission is to help heal religious wounds by teaching service providers, parents and faith-based leaders the impact on these wounds on a personal level as well as in a broader societal context. In her work as an ordained minister and licensed psychologist, Terrlyn has seen that although religion is a healing balm for some, it’s often an instrument of wounding for others.
